The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation: Highlight Reel
Digital Video

As a native of Louisville, Kentucky, I will be the first to tell you that our city is a gem often overlooked by others outside of the community. From its rich history and fascinating culture, to the bustling metro and vast, green pastoral landscapes, fit for a magazine, Louisville has much to offer. Interested in working within my community, I have collaborated with the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation to create this promotional video piece.

The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 to further the mission of the Kentucky Derby Festival. From the KDF website, “The Kentucky Derby Festival works each year to provide community service that directly contributes to the cultural, educational, charitable and economic development of the community.”

My intention will be to showcase the Foundation’s events, which place direct emphasis on the power of education in terms of fostering futures, unity, and togetherness across Louisville and the surrounding Bluegrass region. Ideally, this message will encourage curiosity among children, highlight the Foundation, and most importantly, ignite a sense of Kentucky pride as we head into the 2020 Kentucky Derby Festival season (whenever that may be).
