What Makes Inquiry Possible?

As a young filmmaker, I wanted to be in a position where I could create content that would ultimately make an impact on others’ lives. This video documentary encompasses a journey of discovering Inquiry based learning in a high-school setting. Through the use of interview style long form video, teachers and administrators work through what it means to teach in the form of inquiry. Guided by research completed by professors at UK and the “C3 Framework,” an organization dedicated to implementing the Inquiry Design Model (IDM) into classrooms internationally. Over the course of approximately one week, we captured video using several formats intentionally natural footage of students and teachers working with IDM. However, the goal is to curate this content into a thirty minute piece that exhibits the best of ways and the best of teaching IDM. The goal for this project was to direct educators to teach differently and more effectively, ultimately affecting students’ lives and minds. Their ability to problem solve and ask the right questions will be essentially tools in other areas of their education and later in their careers. I am thankful to have the opportunity to be at this level this early in my career.   I am honored and excited to be here and hopefully stay here.
