I believe in craft as a form of art. Using well-crafted objects brings another sense of appreciation into day to day life. Making utilitarian pottery gives me the most satisfaction because it brings me great joy to see someone use what I have created. Ceramic work takes a lot of time with very tedious steps involved, that must be followed accurately to achieve the best results. It is the long hours that draw me into the ceramic arts. It is all consuming and takes so much attention. There is always something new to learn.

On my pots, bowls, and cups that I create I use traditional tattoo imagery and text to express my themes. I like the history behind traditional tattooing and like pottery, it is seen as another blue collar working man's job. I like how distinguishable the style of traditional tattoos look and the edgy aesthetic it gives my pots. I also include text of all styles on my pots with fun and comedic sayings to help remind people not to take life too seriously.
